Some sad news this morning, the oldest member of the Golden Girls, Estelle Getty has passed away at age 84, after a battle with advanced Alzheimer's disease.Getty played the feisty Sophia, mother to Bea Arthur's Dorothy character and was the funniest thing on the show (Betty White's Rose is next).
She was also a great supporter of Gay rights and AIDS charities and awareness.
